Un filosofo leggendario Lăo Ză (circa 580-470 a.C.)
Il cognome di Lao Zi era Li e il suo nome di battesimo era Er. Lao Zi è un titolo onorifico. È ampiamente riconosciuto che Lao Zi sia uno dei filosofi più venerati della storia cinese. Esistono numerose leggende sulla sua nascita, la sua carriera, il suo insegnamento e le sue idee filosofiche.
Secondo una leggenda popolare, Lao Zi fu concepito quando sua madre vide una stella cadere in grembo e rimase nel grembo materno per 80 anni. Alla nascita, era già un uomo adulto con la barba grigia e lunghi lobi delle orecchie, simbolo di buona fortuna e longevità.
Un tempo custodiva gli archivi della corte reale della dinastia Zhou (circa XI secolo – 256 a.C.). In seguito, però, si dimise e si diresse verso ovest per diffondere le sue idee e la sua filosofia.
Un giorno, mentre cavalcava un bue, si avvicinò al Passo Hangu e fu fermato da Yinxi, una sentinella che presidiava il passo. Essendo un fedele seguace della filosofia di Lao Zi, l’ufficiale riconobbe immediatamente il grande maestro. Tuttavia, per chiedere a Lao Zi di insegnargli qualcosa della sua filosofia, l’ufficiale chiese al vecchio di esibire un permesso ufficiale per lasciare il paese. Lao Zi non aveva documenti, quindi accettò di scrivere un saggio di 5.000 parole sulla sua filosofia in cambio del passaggio in Occidente. Quel saggio si rivelò essere il famoso Daodejing (anche “Tao Te Ching”), o “Libro della Virtù”.
Ancora oggi gli studiosi di tutto il mondo discutono se il libro sia stato effettivamente scritto da Lao Zi o compilato dai suoi studenti e discepoli.
Tuttavia, tutti concordano sul fatto che il libro rifletta il pensiero di Lao Zi. Nel libro, Lao Zi utilizzò il concetto di Dao (Tao) per spiegare tutti i cambiamenti nell’universo. Il Dao, che è stato anche tradotto come “Via” o “Grande Integrità”, è considerato la misteriosa fonte o ideale di tutte le esistenze.
Il “Tao Te Ching” di Lao Tzu è un classico della filosofia cinese. Il modo migliore per comprendere a fondo quest’opera è venire in Cina e frequentare un corso di cinese a tempo pieno. Essendo il miglior paese per imparare il cinese, la Cina non solo offre corsi di lingua di alta qualità, ma permette anche di vivere in prima persona attività culturali tradizionali come le feste cinesi.

At Keats, I have a lot of opportunities to practice what I have learned. I really like this school, because I can learn Chinese in one-on-one style, so I think this is the best immersion program in China and my teacher is the best teacher. I feel that without my teacher, my Chinese will definitely not improve so much. I’m very happy because, at Keats, I have improved my Chinese significantly.
I have really enjoyed the Chinese course in China at Keats and meeting the teachers here and the students. We have a lot of fun in class. It is a really great school to learn with good teaching methods and a really good textbook, examples and games, and everything.
This is my second time coming. Last year, I also came for about 12 weeks. This time I came for 13 weeks of a summer program in China. The reason why I particularly want to come to this school was because of the one-on-one classes. I was able to increase my level and learn Chinese more quickly than in group classes. If I have a chance again to come next year, I certainly will.
In the one-to-one intensive Chinese course, you can choose the learning method you like. The small group Chinese class in China at Keats follows the HSK textbook. Teachers often collect feedback from the students, teachers listen to our requirements and opinions. I felt that my oral level is better than before .
I found Keats to be very good, teachers are excellent and really take the students seriously. Kunming is the best place to learn Mandarin in China. The environment is awesome, no pollution. The air quality is great, good weather. The people here are very friendly. I come to take classes every day. I feel comfortable studying Chinese at Keats. I learned so many things, although I only studied at Keats for 2 months. I am really satisfied with my teacher. For us foreigners, Keats is the best Chinese school in China. Therefore, I would highly recommend Keats to all of you.
I can’t tell you how much I liked it. The thing I liked about the teachers and the teaching method is that there is so much flexibility. The other thing I liked about the teaching is the combination of classic textbook learning and going outside. I loved it! I like getting to know other students. Everybody shared the same goal and that’s making their Chinese better. Kunming is a big city, but it is very safe to live here. Another thing I liked about Keats is the idea that people here help you. I can’t recommend it enough. I think it was a valuable experience. Looking forward to coming back!
I have been to Keats School to learn Chinese for 4 times now. The reason for coming back to this school is pretty much that the teachers I did work with were very good Chinese teachers. I make it a 5-year plan or even a 10-year plan to come back to this school. All the teachers have methods of looking at what your skills are. They are aware of at what level you are. I think it is worth for everyone.
